This year we had ten members who attended the Carlson Leadership Academy. Kyle Brown, Andrew Donovan, Brendan Casey, Cameron Goss, David Carruthers, Kenny Fehr, Lee Shartzer, Logan Desai, Nathan Ferry and lastly Nathan Nelson were all the brothers who attended. This year’s leadership program was in Atlanta, Georgia. It was about a six-and-a-half-hour drive from Lexington, Kentucky and we all got there late Friday night and left early Sunday morning.
Overall, we had a great experience, we learned all sorts of lessons for our different positions (Presidents, Communication, Finance, Development, Programming, Recruitment, and Chaplain). We will be able to use these tips for future references, whether it’s improving something or completely changing the way we are doing something to improve our Chapter.
On some exciting news, the Kentucky Alpha received two awards, which we were excited about and that we could bring them home to our Chapter. We also met so many other people from different schools and were able to compare and help each other’s Chapter out by getting new ideas or events. We can not wait for next year to come around!
