Throughout the month of September, the brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon were hard at work recruiting a new class for the fraternity. For the last several years, the fraternity had set a goal to have a 100+ member chapter. Knowing this goal, the fraternity made sure to try to attract as many people to join our fraternity. VP of Recruitment Josh Black and others like Nathan Ferry, Ian Fainberg, Kush Patel, Zack Ramey, Dan Wagganer, John Cislo, and Jack Spear all had major contributions in the recruiting process. Some events in the recruiting process were Whitehall Nights, Main Lawn Mingle, IFC convocation, and a cigar and poker night. During Whitehall Nights, the Main Lawn Mingle, and IFC convocation, potential new members were able to learn about who we are as a fraternity. Essentially, we were able to establish a first impression to get people to want and come meet our fraternity and see what we are about. At the cigar and poker night, the potential new members got to personally meet all of our members. In doing so, fraternity was able to make the experience a memorable time for the people interested in joining us, which was crucial in trying to accomplish a 100+ member chapter. At the end of this stressful time, we were able to have 33 new members join our fraternity putting us well over the 100-member mark. From the entire fraternity, we are very excited to welcome all new members and are thrilled to finally have met our goal.
